As natural wedding photographers who love the outdoors, barn wedding venues are often the perfect blend of outdoor and indoor space. We wanted to share with you for of our favourite barn style wedding venues in Yorkshire and the North East to inspire your wedding planning...
Northside Farm
Set in the gorgeous Northumberland countryside, Northside farm is a gorgeous venue! Their carefully restored barn area for the ceremony is full of light coming from the floor to ceiling windows at the front...so your ceremony photographs are going to have the perfect light!
There is SO much beautiful outside space for photographs and on site accommodation from cottages to glamping pods. The sunsets can be spectacular as the view is undisturbed...plus there is even a zip line for the more adventurous couples and we can attest that it makes for the most hilarious photographs!
The Normans
Nestled in the countryside in York, The Normans is a Barn Wedding Venue that is super stylish and oh so photogenic. Just look at that ceremony backdrop!
The on site cottages and accommodation are a little space of calm, and the whole venue centres around its beautiful courtyard so it feels private and hidden away from the hustle and bustle of the outside world. Every little corner of the venue feels like it embraces its farm heritage from the converted grain store which serves as the entertaining space to the cow sheds which are the perfect chill out area for guests.
Woolas Barn
Woolas Barn is a Barn Wedding venue with a bit of history...because the buildings themselves were first built in 1863! With three beautiful spaces for ceremonies, dining and entertaining and absolutely stunning views across their acres of land, this venue has a a cosy feeling while having so much space!
The venue has been in their family for 3 generations and very much has a home like feel to it even as a guest. It is a wonderful space for couples to be able to decorate and bring their personality to so whether you are a DIY'er or want to hire a stylist this is a stunning space.
Deepdale Farm
If you are looking for a DIY Barn Wedding Venue...this is the one for you. With a beautiful ceremony barn and adjoining entertaining space, endless views and its very own campsite, this is the perfect place to host an outdoorsy or festival wedding. The barn looks stunning as it is but you can add so many personal touches and use it is a blank canvas to put your stamp on.
The couple get to stay in the cutest log cabin ever, and did we mention that you can bring your four legged friends? In fact when we were there last the couple had three dogs in their wedding party!
Barn on the bay
This is a venue that we haven't actually photographed at yet...but we love the look of it so much so we are putting the feelers out into the world!
A family run venue set on the Northumberland coast, Barn on the bay is a wedding venue that combines our two loves...weddings and the seaside! You get all the cosy, rustic charm of a North East Barn Wedding Venue but with the ability to go get those romantic "walk on the beach" style photographs too.
In fact we love the vibe of this spot so much, we are going to be a part of the Brides Up North Open Day at Barn on the Bay in April so we would LOVE to see some of you there!
