The wedding industry is full of talk about how long it takes to plan a wedding, how you should get everything booked asap and lots of timeline pressure.
Megan and Declan though, they decided to ignore this entirely and go with their gut feeling to plan their wedding in less than 6 months!
When Megan first got in touch with us she told us that they were planning a low key day with a modern city vibe at Manchester Hall and we just knew that it was going to be a gorgeous day to be a part of.
Megan & Declan both got ready at Manchester Hall with their family, close friends and their lovely little boy before a beautiful ceremony in The Drawing Room. The classic wood panelling and big windows looking out over Manchester City make this the perfect space for a wedding ceremony!
There were tears, big smiles and lots of cheers as the happy couple made their way back down the aisle, covered in confetti, ready for a cocktail and a catch up with their guests. One of the coolest things about Manchester Hall is just how central it is, so after drinks and group photographs the guests headed out to make their way to the reception venue on foot while we stayed with the happy couple to make use of the gorgeous staircase and super cool rooftop space for portraits before heading out to grab a black cab to meet everyone at the reception.
When planning a city chic wedding, a cocktail bar really does seem like the perfect choice for the drinks reception! Three Little Words in Manchester is set inside a stunning grade II listed building in the railway arches of the city. Megan & Declan arrived to a huge round of applause, cocktails and live music. The dancing started before the speeches had even been served thanks to the perfect set list played by James Leslie, so we knew we were in for a treat! Special thanks to the people sat off table four who brought immaculate vibes all night!
We are huge fans of skipping out on any wedding day traditions that don’t mesh with your day…and so we LOVED that Megan & Declan opted to skip the cake cut for a more fun and modern champagne tower…even if we were holding out breath a little bit and hoping the champagne cork didn’t fly directly in our faces!
We weren’t wrong about the evening do being a treat! A gorgeous first dance and live music from ‘Twister Etiquette’ got everyone up on the dance floor and nothing could stop the happy couple from dancing the night away…even when a glass of red wine collided with Megans wedding dress! This whole day was all about celebrating not just the love between Megan & Declan, but how loved they clearly are by their friends and family. Everyone wanted to toast, cheer & dance with the happy couple and we were thrilled to have been a part of such a joyful day!
