A few months ago we worked on a styled shoot with the most amazing team of local creatives all about inclusivity and diversity in the bridal world. We've been dying to share it, and now that it has been blogged by Brides Up North we can release the images!
We were approached by our model Cherri Pi to work together on a shoot that would promote the beauty in disability, and we couldn't have been more excited to start planning. Upon doing some research, trying to start a pin board and all of the usual shoot preparations it occurred to us that there really weren't so many styled shoots featuring disabled models out there in the bridal fashion world...and there really should be more!
"The shoot showcases the diversity of beauty, specifically among brides with a disability"
- Brides Up North
We hope that the shoot will not only show the strength and beauty in disability but that it might get people talking about inclusivity. As image makers we feel we have a responsibility to showcase diversity in our work and represent all bodies, because all brides are beautiful, and all brides should see themselves represented in the media.
We hope to work on more shoots like this in the future so stay posted for those!
In the meantime please check out the beautiful write up and blog post from Brides Up North HERE, and check out the gallery of images below...
